When it comes to Hip-Hop, Eunike DaBoss, IS “unique,” just as her name implies. She represents Advanced Hip-Hop, at its finest. Her sophisticated style, lyrical knack and ability to translate life into music have clearly placed her in a class of her own, with a distinctive style that comes from a blending of her Harlem roots and having lived in places like Oakland and Atlanta.
Eunike began rapping while in grade school and continued part-time, throughout her military career overseas. In 1997, while still in the military, she won a European talent contest and caught the attention of rapper, Too Short. He offered her a deal, on the spot, but she turned it down, in order to raise her child.
With life’s obligations behind her, she has been bringing down the house, overseas, in Germany,throughout the United States, as well as locally. Most recently she opened for General Steele of Smith and Wesson, Will Traxx, Boogie Black and the Voice of Harlem and shared the stage with the infamous Mr. Cheeks of Lost Boys and members of Boot Camp Click. In addition, her music has been gaining popularity, on a few of the popular social network music sites. Eunike is definitely one of FONYE Record’s (Flying Over New York Entertainment Record’s) most promising, unique, up-and-coming stars.
